Young David's
Minister Jerry Fannon,
Young David's. Supervisor
New St. John Baptist Church
With so much happening around us today it's more important then ever that we educate our young men as to the dangers of facing life without being, Christ centered.
Young David's are the young men between the ages of 12 years old to high school graduate.
Our purpose and objective is to enlist the aid and cooperation of the young men of our denomination in carrying out the great commission of our Lord and Master. Further to assist youth men in their Christian growth. To encourage our young men to actively participate in and with their church membership in the body of Christ. To strengthen our stewardship by putting greater emphasis on :
1. Personal consecration.
2. Individual and group effort in evangelism
3. Street missions.
4. The reaching, winning and development of youth for Christ.
5. Teaching God's method to financially supporting His Church
6. Greater citizenship and community involvement.
7. Encouraging scholarship and general preparation for live's vocation.
Our slogan: Alert young men helping to enlighten others and strengthening themselves.
Our Pledge: I pledge to remember my creator in the days of my youth, to go forth and make Disciples of all men. To hereby and hereon joyfully pledge my time, finance, service and prayers that the kingdom of the world may become the kingdom of our Lord and Savior who keeps me steadfast.
Our Motto: "AN EVER INCREASING FAITH:
Doubt sees the obstacles; Faith sees the way.
Doubt sees the darkest night; Faith sees the day.
Doubt dreads to take a step; Faith soars on high.
Doubt questions: who believes? Faith answers: "I"!
THE ONLY THING GOD GAVE US TO MAKE A MAN... IS A BOY!!!
